A 28-year-old man was sentenced to two years in prison for the death of a 10-year-old boy, whom he lured with his vehicle in March 2017, in Limassol.
According to a police statement, after a hearing of the case and after, based on the testimonial material presented by the Prosecution before the District Court, the 28-year-old was found guilty of the offence of causing death due to recklessness, reckless or dangerous act, as well as the offence of driving a vehicle at a speeding rate, the court today sentenced the 28-year-old to two years' imprisonment and the deprivation of his driving licence for a period of two and a half years.
It was the afternoon of 14 March 2017, when the unfortunate boy was attempting to cross the road on Kostis Palamas Street, in Limassol, a few meters from his home.
