The Larnaca District Court today issued a two-day detention order against a 24-year-old man, a resident of Larnaca, for facilitating police investigations into an ongoing case of illegal possession, distribution and access to child pornography and offering or providing information on child pornography.
According to a written statement by the Communication Office of the Police Headquarters, "the investigation of the case began after information received by the Police from Europol, according to which a certain user of a social networking platform uploaded three video files of sexual abuse of minors on the Internet."
From the examinations "of the Cybercrime Branch, evidence against a 24-year-old was secured.
