A 21-year-old resident of Nicosia, who was injured this morning in a work accident in Nicosia, is being treated at Nicosia General Hospital in a critical condition.
According to a statement, the accident occurred around 8.30am today, in a building under renovation in Nicosia, where the 21-year-old was installing air conditioners.
Under circumstances under investigation, the 21-year-old allegedly fell from a height of about 8 metres, injuring himself.
He was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was found to have multiple skull fractures. Due to his injuries he was intubated and kept for treatment in the intensive care unit. His state of health is considered critical.
The Nicosia Central Police Station is investigating the causes of the accident.
