[CNA] 21 complaints filed by the Police for violation of the measures against COVID-19

Police made 21 complaints in the last 24 hours while conducting 2,344 checks in all provinces for compliance with the orders of the Infectious Diseases Act to curb COVID-19.

As a spokesman for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters Communication Branch told CNA on Sunday, the complaints concern three establishments and 18 citizens.

The complaints at substations involved a 1000 euro fine to a barber shop that had more people on the premises than allowed, a 500 euro fine to a café for an employee without a mask and 750 euro to a betting agency that allowed a customer without a safepass to enter.

In Nicosia, after 524 checks, one manager of an establishment and three citizens were reported, in Limassol after 180 checks eight citizens were reported and in Larnaca after 571 checks one manager of an establishment and one citizen were reported.<b
