In the last 24 hours, (6.00 in the morning of January 4 - 6.00 on January 5), the Police filed complaints against 21 citizens and 9 managers of establishments, after 2,597 checks carried out nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with and implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
A spokesperson for the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters told CNA that 1,190 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 7 complaints from citizens and 5 from the managers of establishments. In Limassol, 181 checks were carried out, which resulted in 6 complaints from citizens and 1 from the manager of an establishment. In Larnaca 476 checks were carried out, resulting in 6 complaints from citizens and 1 complaint from a manager of an establishment, in Paphos 399 checks were carried out, which resulted in 3 complaints from citizens and the manager of one establishment, in Ammo
