A 15% increase in POS terminals in Cyprus was recorded in the period 2018-2020, with the POS allocation for 2020 estimated at 25,824 per million inhabitants.
According to a press release sent to the media by technology company Printec, based on research conducted in 14 Central and Eastern European countries in which it operates, with the growing popularity of card payments or other alternative methods, it is not surprising that the number of POS terminals in Printec's countries has increased by 20% (by approximately 376,000 terminals) from 2018 to 2020.
The corresponding increase in Cyprus is 15% (by around 4,000 terminals), with the country now having around 31,000 POS terminals and Printec supporting 60% of
