Air Moldova has again cancelled flights between Larnaca ?? and Chisinau ??.
To remind, the airline originally planned to start flights between these cities from April 26, but due to financial difficulties Air Moldova postponed the start until May 3. Now the sales of Larnaca-Kishinev flights are closed for the whole month of May, and the opportunity to buy a ticket for this direction is available only starting from June 3.
In its social networks Air Moldova notes that the financial problems faced by the company today are caused by the actions of MAIB bank.
"At present, 150 million lei (over €7.5 million) are blocked on accounts of Air Moldova in MAIB bank. It would have allowed the company to pay to service providers not to cancel daily flights, the money which would have allowed to replenish its own fleet, and the money which would have ensured the company's activity without coercion", notes Air Moldova. According to the airline, the bank's actions are aimed to push Air Moldova to bankruptcy.
