With joy and pride we watched the course and the excellent performances of our athletes in the 19th European Small States Games, held in Malta.
The efforts of all the members of the Cypriot delegation lifted our country in the overall ranking, winning 87 medals, 30 gold, 28 silver and 29 bronze and achieving both pan-Cypriot and individual performances.
Congratulations to all the athletes, the coaches, the Federations, the Cyprus Olympic Committee, the medical and paramedical staff, the captains and assistant captains of the delegation.
Through everyone's collective effort, perseverance and preparation, they succeeded in lifting Cyprus even higher and caused excitement and admiration to all of us.
The successes and efforts of our delegation, not only contributed to the conquest of the summit, but also inspire us. Their perseverance, sacrifice and unwavering commitment are a guide and example for us all.
