The Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (RSRC), on 2 June 2023 at 18:00, was informed through the automatic network of rescue points about two people who were found in distress after a dive in the area of Agioi Anargyroi, in Cape Greco.

The rescue point was activated by other bystanders at the scene, who, using the circular lifeline, managed to rescue the two people who were in distress.

On this occasion, the CSEED reminds the public to follow the instructions of the signs and to avoid entering the sea from places classified as dangerous and under adverse weather conditions.

KSEED, in cooperation with private volunteers and Cyta, proceeded with the installation of four rescue points in areas of high traffic, classified as high risk: the sea caves and Agioi Anargyros in Cape Greco, the dock near the Old Port of Limassol and the beach "Bania" in Kato Paphos. Each one includes a circular life jacket with a rope, placed in a hard case, for immediate rescue of a person in danger. It is activated automatically, by informing the KSEED Operations Centre by telephone and, at the same time, through a camera installed in the case, transmits a real-time image of the scene.
